Scarborough stabbing leaves man with life-threatening injuries

A man is in life-threatening condition and a suspect is in custody following a stabbing in Scarborough on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to a commercial plaza near Morningside Avenue and Lawrence Avenue around 4:20 p.m. after getting initial reports of someone being shot.
Upon arrival officers found a man with injuries deemed to be more consistent with a stabbing and ruled out a shooting.
The victim was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was located by officers shortly after their arrival and a knife was found at the scene.
