Head-on crash sends 2 drivers to hospital with serious injuries

Two drivers are in hospital with serious injuries following a head-on crash along Toronto’s lake shore on Wednesday night.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 11 p.m. for reports of a two-vehicle collision on Lake Shore Boulevard, east of British Columbia Road.

The drivers of each vehicle were hurt in the head-on crash and needed to be removed from their cars. Police say both victims were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics tell CityNews one of the drivers injuries have been downgraded to serious but non-life-threatening.

Lake Shore Boulevard is closed from British Columbia Road to Ontario Drive as police investigate.
