Police make video appeal to locate Toronto man Raheem White, missing since December

By Lucas Casaletto

Toronto police have made a new video appeal as efforts ramp up to locate a 26-year-old man that has been missing since December.

Raheem White, 26, went missing on December 1, 2021, and was last seen around 3 p.m. in the Osler Street and Pelham Avenue area, near The Junction.

Detective/Const. Chris Sukhdeo says White was last seen at approximately 3:30 p.m. driving westbound on Kenneth Avenue, from Indian Road.

Police located his work vehicle, a green delivery truck, shortly after, along with his wallet and personal belongings inside. Since then, there have been several spottings of him, but none have been confirmed.

“The location of his phone remains unknown,” Sukhdeo said.

“A black backpack, previously believed to have been missing from his work truck, was later located at his place of work.”

Toronto police shared a new video appeal to help locate Raheem White, 26, of Toronto, who has been missing since December 1, 2021.

“Raheem has a large number of family and friends who are concerned for his well-being”

In May, CityNews spoke with White’s mother, Rose, who said she has hired her own investigative team and is relying on the support of another mother, who has dealt with this situation and is now an advocate for families of missing people.

Toronto police tell CityNews their search for White is ongoing, including interviews with his friends and family, ground searches, following up on sightings, working with other police jurisdictions and many other investigative techniques.

“Raheem has a large number of family and friends who are very concerned for his well-being and are pleading for a safe return,” Sukhdeo said, noting that the area where White’s truck was found is near Sunnyside Beach — a popular spot for cyclists and runners.

Anyone with information on White’s whereabouts is urged to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers.
