Man in critical condition after violent assault at Scarborough restaurant

A man has life-threatening injuries after he was violently attacked at Scarborough Town Centre on Monday evening.

Officers responded to reports of an assault at a restaurant in the mall around 6:30 p.m.

Police say one man violently attacked another man. Passersby came to the victim’s aid and he was eventually transported to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

Two people have been taken into police custody.

Police tell CityNews they are not looking for any additional suspects after initially saying one man was outstanding.
