She’s green, lean, mean, and she’s entered the MUST-WATCH Top 10! But will She-Hulk, Marvel’s latest superhero, take the top spot? Or will it go to a prequel to one of HBO’s most successful shows? Perhaps a new film starring Idris Elba? You’ll have to keep reading to find out!

Let’s begin this week with a return to Westeros!

House of the Dragon is a prequel to Game of Thrones, and it’s set 200 years before the beginning of that show. This newest show chronicles the reign of House Targaryen, and the dragons they rule the realm with. Boasting another large ensemble cast, this show begins with a focus on King Viserys I (played by Paddy Considine from Dead Man’s Shoes and Hot Fuzz). He’s ruled over the Seven Kingdoms for several years, and he’s looking for an heir. The options are his daughter Rhaenyra (played by Emma D’Arcy from Wanderlust), and his younger brother Daemon (played by Matt Smith from Doctor Who). But another member of the family is scheming to take over as well, and there are several others who desire the Iron Throne.

Beast

Now it’s time for some terror in the jungle!

Beast is a new film starring Idris Elba from the Wire, the Suicide Squad, and Beasts of No Nation. He plays a father whose wife recently died, and he’s decided to take his two teenage daughters to the African village she grew up in. This is his chance to reconnect with the two, so he hopes that absolutely nothing will go wrong. After meeting with his old friend (played by Sharlto Copley from District 9), the four go on a trip into the reserve to see a pride of lions. But they find that many lions and people have been slaughtered, and soon the two begin to suspect there’s a rogue lion on the loose. Can they survive the day without getting mauled by this rogue lion?

The Cuphead Show!: Part 2

Next up, another cup!

The Cuphead Show! is back for another season! When we last left our two protagonists Cuphead and Mugman, they had recently been arrested and locked in jail. They’re now determined to get back out, and meet up once again with Ms. Chalice, the con artist that left them behind. And who knows what other kind of crazy adventures they’ll get up to? This new season continues the early animation style of the original indie video game.

Echoes

Now, it’s time for a mystery miniseries!

Echoes is a new Australian miniseries starring Michelle Monaghan (from Mission Impossible and the first season of True Detective). She plays identical twins Gena and Leni, who each live separate lives far away from each other. But the share a secret that nobody else knows. Since they were children, they’ve regularly switched places without telling anyone else. Now, Leni has disappeared for a long time, and her whole town is starting to search for her. Gena flies out there to assist, but maybe Leni never left after all. This show also stars Matt Bomer (from Magic Mike), Karen Robinson (from Schitt’s Creek), and Jonathan Tucker (from Westworld).

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

Lastly, a new superhero makes her debut in the court of law!

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law stars Canadian actress Tatiana Maslany (from Orphan Black) as Jennifer Walters. She’s a practicing lawyer, but more importantly, she recently received a blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner (played by Mark Ruffalo from Dark Waters). Gaining a similar form to his Hulk, he teaches her how to be a hulk in preparation for becoming a superhero. But she doesn’t want to be a superhero, she just wants to uphold the law. And even though she returns to court, super-heroics always end up following her around somehow. This show also stars Ginger Gonzaga (from Space Force), Jameela Jamil (from the Good Place), and Tim Roth (from the Hateful Eight).
