Two dogs stolen at knifepoint in downtown Toronto; suspects sought

Toronto police are investigating after two dogs were allegedly stolen at knifepoint in downtown Toronto last week.
Police say a person was walking two dogs in the area of Yonge and Dundas streets around 11 p.m. on Sep. 1 when they were confronted by a man and a woman.
It is alleged the man took out a knife and then the pair stole the two dogs. Police say the suspects and the victim were not known to each other.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the two dogs, a golden brown Shih Tzu named “Mari” who was in a stroller at the time of the theft, and a black Scottish Terrier named “Yurield.”
The two suspects are described as 25-year-old male with black hair and a female in her 30s with brown hair. The man was last seen wearing a baseball hat and the woman was last seen wearing a light green long sleeve shirt and sweatpants.
