Police arrest suspect in shooting death of boy, 15, in North York

Toronto police have arrested a suspect in the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy in North York early Saturday morning.

Police say Ellion Brown, 18, of Toronto, (pictured below) is now in custody facing a charge of second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Toronto teen, Shalldon Samuda.

Police were called to an apartment on Keele Street, north of Sheppard Avenue West, just before 1 a.m. Saturday.

Upon arriving they discovered a young teen suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

A firearm was also recovered.

Police confirmed Saturday afternoon the boy was pronounced dead in hospital.
