Motorcyclist dies in hospital after Scarborough crash

Toronto police say a motorcyclist is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Scarborough on Tuesday evening.

It happened at around 5:30 p.m. at Markham Road and Eastpark Boulevard near Lawrence Avenue East.

Police say a 19-year-old man on a motorcycle was riding south on Markham, when he was struck by a vehicle that was heading north on the roadway.

The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital where he later died.

The driver of the vehicle, a 90-year-old woman, received minor injuries.

Traffic Services continue to investigate.
