Man dead in north Scarborough shooting

The search is on for a suspect following a fatal shooting in the north end of Scarborough.
Police say around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday night a man was in a car in the parking lot of a plaza on Midland Avenue just south of Steeles Avenue East when an unknown person approached the vehicle and shot him.
When first responders arrived on the scene they began life-saving measures, however, the man was pronounced dead.
He has been identified as Ding Ping Wang, 31, of Toronto.
Police have not released a suspect description at this time and have asked anyone who may have information to contact them.
