Police say witness saw 2 people trying to force male into trunk of car in Mississauga
Peel police say they’re trying to determine if a person was abducted in Mississauga on Thursday, after a concerned citizen reported seeing two males trying to force another male into the trunk of a car.
According to police, the witness was driving in the Dundas Street and Cedarglen Gate area at around 7:30 p.m. when they spotted a confrontation taking place.
“The witness described seeing an altercation between at least two males who were trying to force another male into the trunk of a car,” police explained in a release Friday.

“By the time the citizen turned around, the trunk of the vehicle was closed, and the vehicle was seen driving westbound on Dundas Street from Cedarglen Gate.”
Investigators say they haven’t been able to confirm if an abduction actually took place.
“Neither the citizen nor the police can confirm if anyone was actually forced into the trunk or if the male was able to flee the area,” police noted.
The vehicle is described a dark-coloured sedan, possibly a Volkswagen Passat.
