Lockdown, hold and secure lifted at Mississauga school, other institutions after police investigation

A lockdown at a Mississauga school and a hold and secure at five other nearby institutions have been lifted after a police investigation.

Police were called to Corliss Crescent and Darla Drive near Finch Avenue West and Highway 427 just before 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of “loud bangs” heard in the area.

Corliss Public School was locked down, while a hold and secure was in placed at Darcel Avenue Sr. Public School, Holy Cross Catholic Elementary School, Lincoln Alexander Public School.

Morningstar YMCA Child Care Centre and Malton Community Centre was also in hold and secure.

No injuries have been reported.
