“The rider had lost control on that ramp, struck a sign and was seriously injured,” said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt.
A 33-year-old man from Brampton was involved in the collision, Sgt. Schmidt said.
It’s unclear what led to the crash.
The collision resulted in a lengthy closure in the area, with OPP confirming on Saturday morning that the Highway 407 Eastbound ramp at Highway 404 in Markham had reopened.
