Eight people arrested in Brampton kidnapping, robbery investigation

Peel police have made several arrests in connection with a kidnapping and robbery in Brampton earlier this year.

Police say two people in their 20s went to a home in Brampton around 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 15. Once inside the home, it’s alleged the pair were kidnapped, held against their will, and then eventually released.

On Thursday, officers executed search warrants at two residences in Brampton and another in Georgetown. Police made eight arrests and seized a number of items, including a 9mm handgun, ammunition, and vehicles and property related to the investigation.
