Toronto police are attempting to identify a man wanted for assaulting a woman while she was jogging in the Port Union neighbourhood of Scarborough.
Officers were called to the Port Union Road and Lawrence Avenue East area around 4 p.m. on Monday for reports of an assault.
It’s alleged that a woman was out for a run in the area when a man approached her from behind and assaulted her. He then fled to the Rouge Hill Go Station and boarded a westbound train.
Around the same time, police were notified that the man approached other women in the Starspray Boulevard and Lawrence Avenue East area.
It’s alleged that the male suspect would run up to women and try and start up a conversation with them.
Police said the man is described as in his late 20s, with dreadlocks and a large lower lip.
He was last seen wearing a black and red hooded sweatshirt with “Friday the 13th” and the “Jason Voorhees” character, black pants, Ewing runners, and black sunglasses.
