Toronto police are searching for a suspect after a student was stabbed at a high school in Scarborough on Wednesday.
Officers were called Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute near Markham Road and Lawrence Avenue East around 12 p.m. for reports of a stabbing.
In a letter sent home to parents, Principal Carol Richards-Sauer says an altercation between students in a school stairwell triggered a “brief” hold and secure at the school.
