Based on information from the Town of Caledon released earlier this year, it lists the address as using the property as an illegal trucking company.

Meanwhile, Ontario Provincial Police investigators tell CityNews they are investigating after a burnt-out pickup truck was found in the area of Olde Baseline Road and Creditview Road. Police are trying to determine if it is connected to the fatal shooting.

No suspect information has been made available. Police say there is no threat to public safety.

A neighbour tells CityNews the tenants who live in the basement of the home reported hearing many shots. They say the shooter, or shooters, fled the area in a vehicle.
