A gas leak has shut down a stretch of Queen Street in downtown Toronto on Tuesday afternoon.
Crews were called to Queen west of Spadina around 1:10 p.m. due to a leak.
Police say the leak occurred after an excavator struck a gas line.
Queen is closed in both directions between Spadina and Peter Street. Motorists are being asked to consider alternate routes.
