Pedestrian rushed to hospital after being struck by vehicle in North York

A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in North York.

Police were called to Bathurst Street and York Downs Road just after 5 p.m.

The victim was transported to hospital by a trauma run with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver involved remained on the scene.

Bathurst Street is closed between Almore and Newbury Lane and delays are expected in the area.
