Police identify man, 29, fatally shot in Toronto home

The Homicide Unit has been notified after a man was found dead and another man was stabbed and seriously injured in the Weston area late Monday night.

Toronto police say they were called to the Old Weston Road and Rockwell Avenue area around 11:45 p.m. following reports someone had been shot and stabbed.

The incident happened inside a small semi-detached home on Silverthorn Avenue.

Once on the scene, officers found two male victims. A 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after being found with multiple gunshot wounds.

A second man, 58, was stabbed and transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is now in stable condition.

The homicide victim has been identified as 29-year-old Thomas Coish of Toronto.

Both men were related to each other and resided at the home together.

Police believe this was an isolated and targeted incident. They did not say whether any weapons were found on the scene.

Investigators are searching for two suspects wearing all-black clothing who fled the scene on foot.
