Woman seriously hurt in 6-car crash on Hwy. 400

A woman was seriously hurt in a chain-reaction crash on Highway 400 late Tuesday.

Six vehicles were involved in the accident that happened on the southbound lanes at Finch Avenue just before 11 p.m. The OPP said a Toyota lost control and hit the centre median. Traffic slowed and five other vehicles then crashed. The collisions forced police to close the affected area for four hours.

A woman was rushed to Sunnybrook hospital with serious injuries and others involved suffered minor injuries.
