14 passengers fall ill on flight from Cuba to Toronto

Fourteen passengers on an Air Transat flight from Cuba to Toronto fell ill on Friday, a company official told CityNews.
The passengers complained of nausea and vomiting on the return flight from Holguin.
A spokesperson for Air Transat said the ill people weren’t all staying at the same hotel. The source of the illness hasn’t yet been determined.
Health Canada officials were summoned to assess the travelers at Pearson Airport.
It’s the third time passengers have fallen ill on Air Transat flights from Cuba in the past two days.
A flight from Holguin to Ottawa was briefly delayed upon landing Friday morning after 11 passengers complained of sickness. About 45 minutes after landing Public Health Agency of Canada officials allowed the passengers to leave the aircraft.
A third flight from Cuba to Toronto was also affected on Thursday, with 20 people feeling ill. Everyone was later released.
Air Transat said it will be monitoring flights from Holguin over the weekend, but no other action or advisory has been issued.
