StreetBeat – Nov. 19 – Suspects Sought In Mississauga Home Invasion

Police are looking for as many as five suspects following an early morning Mississauga home invasion. A man and a woman were treated at the scene for injuries, reportedly from a pistol whipping after the break-in at the home on Pringle Place near Eglinton Ave. and Winston Churchill Blvd. There’s no word on suspect descriptions. It’s unclear what if anything was taken.


Power Outage In Part Of Scarborough

Lights were out in part of Scarborough midmorning Wednesday as a brief power outage affected homes, businesses and even the subway. The source of the outage isn’t clear but pockets of Scarborough were in the dark including Eglinton Ave. East between Kennedy and Bellamy. The Bloor-Danforth subway line was shut down briefly between Warden and Kennedy, and had to run buses for a short time. Power came back just before 9:30am.
