York Transit ridership rises

The car loving 905 is apparently warming up to public transit.
Ridership at York Region and Viva Transit for the first four months of this year is up 10.5 per cent over the same period last year.
Viva’s numbers are 26 per cent higher than when the service was launched in September 2005.
YRT-Viva said if the trend continues, it will surpass 21-million riders this year.
