Police seek suspect after man badly beaten on Yonge Street

TORONTO, Ont. – Police are searching for a suspect after a man was badly beaten downtown on Saturday morning.

Emergency crews were called to Yonge and Gerrard streets around 3 a.m. after a fight broke out between two men.

Police found a man in his early 20s suffering from blunt-force trauma.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating and have not yet released a suspect description.

Anyone who may have witnessed this event is being urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
