Police release images of jacket in attempt to identify injured male

Toronto police have released images of a jacket similar to one that an injured male was wearing when he was discovered unconscious in north Etobicoke last weekend, hoping it will help identify him.

Police say they still haven’t been able to determine the identity of the victim, a male believed to be between 13 and 20 years old, after his apparent assault.

Officers were called to the Celestine Drive and The Westway area at around 11 p.m. on Sunday for reports that a young man was unconscious on the sidewalk.

Police say a dark-coloured sedan stopped in the area, and two suspects exited the vehicle and opened the trunk. The suspects moved an injured man out of the trunk and put him on the sidewalk.

They then got back into the vehicle and fled the scene.

Police say the victim has a medium complexion, stands around five foot four and weighs roughly 93 pounds.

He has short black hair, is clean shaven and has a scar above his right eyebrow.

He was last seen wearing a puffy black jacket and black pants.

Investigators have released an image of a jacket similar to the one the victim was wearing.

It is described as a black “Trapstar” bubble jacket.
