Two dead after fatal residential fire in Vaughan

Two people have died due to a residential fire in the Jane Street and Major Mackenzie Drive area of Vaughan on Saturday afternoon.
Vaughan Fire and Rescue services along with York Region emergency services were called at approximately 2:30 p.m. to a residence in the area as fire crews arrived and extinguished the fire.
Two people were located deceased inside the residence and at this time have not yet been identified.
An investigation is ongoing and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
The Office of the Fire Marshal has been contacted as well as the Office of the Chief Coroner.
