Toronto police say a man in his 40s has been sent to hospital after reports of a stabbing near Jane Street and Wilson Avenue.

Officers responded to the call just after 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and found a man suffering from stab wounds in the area. He was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.

Investigators say no suspect information is available at this time.

Road closures were briefly in effect on Wilson Avenue from Beverly Hills Drive to Dallner Road, in both directions and reopened at approximately 10:45 p.m.
