Man wanted for allegedly assaulting woman, forcing her into vehicle in Mississauga

A man is wanted for allegedly assaulting and forcing a woman into a vehicle in Mississauga, Peel Regional Police said.

Authorities received a report of an altercation between two people on Tuesday at around 11:45 a.m. in the Mississauga Road and Meadowvale Boulevard area.

During the incident, the man was allegedly seen striking the woman and forcing her into a vehicle before leaving the area.

Police attempted to stop the vehicle, described as a black 2006 Acura MDX SUV with Ontario licence plate DARP182. The driver did not stop and managed to evade officers.

The vehicle has a gold Acura emblem and front-end damage.

The man has been identified as 48-year-old Bryan Devereaux of Kitchener. He is described as five-foot-seven with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and black-rimmed glasses with a yellow tint.

The unknown woman is described as being in her early 30s, around five-foot-four, with a medium build. Last seen wearing a full-length parka.

Photos of the male suspect and vehicle have been released.
