Strong wind gusts in store for Toronto, GTA

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, warning of very strong wind gusts on Friday.
According to the weather agency, the affected areas could receive wind gusts of between 50-100 kilometres an hour.
No wind warnings have been issued for Toronto or the GTA.
Toronto Hydro said it’s keeping a close eye on potential power outages and several downed lines have already been reported elsewhere in the GTA. Peel police are asking drivers to take extra precautions.
