Woman charged after threat made against Mississauga school

A 21-year-old Toronto woman has been charged after a Mississauga school received an anonymous threat this week.

Peel police said they became aware of threats made online against an elementary school.

However, police said the threat did not mention a specific elementary school but the geographical area was the south west portion of Mississauga.

Officers investigated a number of schools, including Whiteoaks Public School, Tecumseh Public School and Lorne Park Public School.

Ana Jankovic was arrested by Peel police on Wednesday afternoon.

She has been charged with one count of uttering threats.

Police thanked both school boards, as well as parents and students, for their help and patience during the investigation.
