Woman dies of injuries sustained in Annex incident

Homicide is investigating after a women in her 20s has succumbed to her injuries following an incident in the Annex.
Police say they received a 911 call about gunshots in the area of Kendal Avenue and Spadina Road just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
A female victim was discovered and transported to a nearby trauma centre, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Police now say her injuries were consistent with a stabbing.
They added that two men were seen running from the scene but they have not released any details.
Investigators believe this was a targeted attack and there is no immediate threat to the safety of residents in the area.
Two days ago, police responded to a call of shots being fired in the vicinity of the same building but would not say if the two incidents are connected at this time.
