Police say death of man found in Beaches not suspicious

Police say the discovery of man’s body in the Beaches is not being investigated as a suspicious incident.

Police were called to The Beach Cinemas on Queen Street East near Eastern Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Friday after a passerby made a 9-1-1 call.

They discovered the man, believed to be in his 40s, unconscious and without vital signs at the rear of the building.

Paramedics say the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were initially treating the man’s death as suspicious but a short time later confirmed the death was considered non-suspicious. No further details were released.
