A portion of Highway 401 near Highway 6 was closed Monday evening following a vehicle fire
The cab of a dump truck was completely incinerated in the fire. Ontario Provincial Police said the driver got out of the vehicle in time and was not hurt.
Police eventually opened up two lanes on the eastbound side but added they are still investigating the incident.
“Cleanup is expected to take several more hours,” OPP said in a tweet at around 9:12 p.m.
