Sept. 3 – StreetBeat – Two Men Seriously Wounded In Stabbings

Two men were seriously wounded in two separate stabbings Saturday night.
A 20-year-old was knifed around 6pm outside a bank on Spadina near Dundas. He’s expected to survive.
Hours later a 21-year-old man was stabbed between the shoulder blades at a home on Adanac Drive, near McCowan and Eglinton.
Police say two friends who’d been drinking got into an argument which escalated and ended with the knife attack.
A 20-year-old was arrested.
East End Accident
A 39-year-old woman was rushed to hospital Sunday morning after a collision at Morningside and Old Finch.
Police say the driver was taken to Sunnybrook after her car hit a pole, but the severity of her injuries isn’t known.
An elderly female passenger in the car also needed medical treatment when she became ill at the scene.
Pick-Up Crash
Drinking and driving charges were laid Sunday night after a pick-up truck slammed into a hydro pole.
A 61-year-old man was arrested abd the crash knocked out power for a short time in the Eglinton and Midland area.
