Sixteen-year-old Alwayne Bigby is being heavily recruited by NCAA schools like Syracuse and Wake Forest, but for now, he’s focused on his local high school basketball team, the Eastern Commerce Saints.
The naturally athletic teen is averaging 25 points and 10 boards a game and his talents continue to get recognized.
Over the summer he attended an elite camp in New Jersey with 400 of the best young players in North America. When all was said and done he was chosen to play on the all-star team.
Bigby believes there’s only one secret to success, and that’s hard work.
“It’s about putting your work in and going to practice everyday working hard and doing your individual stuff as well. It’s about working on weaknesses instead of your strengths.”
