Woman Allegedly Sexually Assaulted By Cab Driver

They’re supposed to shuttle you home safely late at night, but police allege that wasn’t the case with one cab ride this weekend.

Authorities are trying to track down a taxi driver who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in Regent Park Sunday morning.

The 20-year-old victim was attacked by the suspect who picked her up at Peter and Richmond around 3:15am after he drove her to Parliament and Dundas, police said.

The driver is described as:

  • Brown, with a dark complexion
  • 45 to 50-years-old
  • 5’9″ with an average build
  • He has short, dark hair and he’s balding

Authorities say the vehicle the suspect was driving was an olive-green newer-model Ford Windstar-style minivan, with dual sliding doors, beige cloth interior and a taxi light on the roof.
