“Stolen” Paintings Just Latest Battle Of Mudslinging McCartneys

His estranged wife Heather Mills called police to the singer’s country estate Friday to report someone had stolen several paintings worth an estimated $20 million.
Cops rushed to the site but quickly discovered there was no need for any sirens. It turns out it was just more bad blood between the music legend and his soon-to-be-former spouse.
It appears McCartney actually took the paintings out of the lodge, reprogrammed the alarm codes that guarded the place, and then told his wife about it – via a text message.
Cops have determined it’s not a criminal matter and their involvement in the case has ended.
The mudslinging McCartneys have been in the news for the past few months over their very public break-up, a bitter irony for a man who’s penned some of the world’s best known love songs.
They separated in May after four years of marriage and their less than amicable divorce negotiations started in July.
It’s the latest instance of text messaging being used to avoid a painful confrontation with a significant other. The most famous one this year took place in Toronto just last month, when Britney Spears texted a message to Kevin Federline that she wanted a divorce.
