Two Suspects Sought In Peel Murder

Peel police have released pictures of two men they believe might be involved in the region’s first murder of the year.

Romeo Constantine (right), 24, and Karim Creighton (left), 23, are wanted in connection with last week’s fatal shooting of 34-year-old Otis Johnson. Murder arrest warrants have been issued for the pair.

Johnson succumbed to his injuries several hours after being shot on the 12th floor of a Mississauga apartment building near The Queensway and Hurontario St. Emergency crews arrived there to find him critically injured inside the building’s front entrance. He died hours later.

According to witnesses he had been struck in the lower back.

Reports suggest Peel homicide officers believe there may be people assisting the pair from being taken into custody.

They warn that anyone found to be helping them avoid arrest would be charged.

Authorities advised the public to consider the men armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (905) 453-2121, ext. 3205, or Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
