“Snakes On A Plane” was a Hollywood movie, but snakes in a basement was a real horror for a few members of the New York Fire Department.
Some of New York ‘s bravest needed every ounce of it during a recent call to a Queens basement where they found snakes and creepy critters galore while responding to a small fire.
Lieutenant Ed Ireland says it was like something out of a science fiction movie and after the smoke cleared, he says he even saw a 10-foot python slithering near his feet.
There were also two cobras, tarantulas, two small alligators, and other creatures he didn’t even want to get into.
The animals’ owner was cited for health code violations, and Samuel L. Jackson has been notified.
