Halladay Pitches Gem To Lead Jays Against Nationals

Roy Halladay bounced back from a string of uncharacteristically sub-par starts with a commanding performance on Friday night.
Halladay gave up just two runs over 7 1/3 innings to lead the Toronto Blue Jays to a resounding 7-2 interleague win over the Washington Nationals.
The 2003 Cy Young Award winner struggled in consecutive starts in early May before an appendectomy put him on the sidelines for 19 days. He returned with a gem but followed it up with seven-run shellacking at the hands of Tampa Bay.
But the “Doc” was back in fine form Friday, and he recieved the offensive help necessary at the plate when Adam Lind and Troy Glaus both homered.
