Gay Pride Week Festivities And Weekend Road Closures

There may not have been any rainbows after the big storm earlier this week, but you’re guaranteed to see a bunch of them this weekend. Pride Week is in full swing in T.O. and there are some road closures you’ll want to keep in mind. For additional information, visit the official site, Toronto Pride.
Pride Day Festivities/Weekend Closures:
- Church St., from Carlton St. to Wellesley St., will be closed from Friday, June 22 at 7pm to Monday, June 25 at 6am
- Church St., from Hayden St. to Dundonald St., will be closed from Saturday, June 23 at 2am to Monday, June 25 at 6am (full road closure)
- Wellesley St., from Yonge St. to Church St., will be closed from Saturday, June 23 at 2am to Monday, June 25 at 6am (full road closure)
Pride and Remembrance Run – Saturday, June 23
- Wellesley St., from Jarvis St. to (and including) Queens Park Circle, will be closed on Saturday, June 23 from 9am to noon
Dyke March – Saturday, June 23
March route: starting at the intersection of Church and Hayden St., north on Church St. to Bloor St. E., west on Bloor St. E. to Yonge St., south on Yonge St. to Wood St., and east on Wood St. back to Church St.
- Closed from 9am to 4:30pm (march is from 2pm to 4pm)
Pride Parade – Sunday, June 24
Formation area: Rosedale Valley Rd., from Bayview Ave. to Park Rd.
Parade route: starting at Church St. and Bloor St. E., west on Bloor St. E. to Yonge St., south on Yonge St. to Gerrard St., and east on Gerrard St. back to Church St.
- Closed from 10am to 5pm (parade is from 2pm-6pm)
Kensington Market Pedestrian Sunday
Parts of the following roads will be closed between noon to 10pm:
- Augusta Ave.
- Baldwin St.
- Kensington Ave.
