A police cruiser was heavily damaged after colliding with another car early Sunday at Yonge and Sheppard. Authorities said the cruiser was heading north through the intersection when it was hit by a car that was traveling eastbound on Sheppard. Luckily, there were no serious injuries.
The impact set off the air bags in both vehicles and sent one car into a third vehicle that was waiting at a red light in the westbound lanes. The officer suffered a sore back and arm, but did not require treatment in hospital. Police said the other driver is likely to be charged with running a red light.
