On Thursday we told you the story of a store that was accidentally opened to customers without any staff inside. Now comes the other side of the story and it’s equally bizarre. A group of armed thieves entered a sporting goods store in Montevideo, Uruguay on Tuesday. They locked the employees in a back room while grabbing money from the till and loading up on sports equipment.
Everything was going according to plan until some unsuspecting customers walked in. To avoid arousing suspicion, the crooks began waiting on them and actually spent 30 minutes selling them some goods, before finally making it out of the shop and into a waiting getaway car.
Cops are still searching for the trio and can’t say how much they got away with or how many sales they actually made. But needless to say, they won’t be getting a commission.
