A string of accidents on the roads kept police busy in the GTA overnight.
A father and son were hurt in a crash in the west end around 5am Saturday (pictured). Police said the man and his nine-year-old son were traveling along Dufferin and St. Clair in a minivan when the vehicle was hit broadside by a tractor trailer.
The father suffered non-life threatening head injuries and the boy got some cuts to his leg. Police are looking for witnesses, if you saw what happened call 13 Division at (416) 808-1300.
Earlier, a section of the 401 in Pickering was shut down after a crash sent a motorcyclist to hospital with serious injuries. The incident took place on the westbound lanes near Liverpool Road just after 10pm Friday.
And it was a really messy drive on the northbound 400 overnight after a big rig ( pictured) tipped over, spilling trash across the highway near Finch. The driver suffered some cuts and bruises but is expected to be O.K.
