StreetBeat – Dec. 15 – 50-Yr.-Old Pedestrian Killed

A 50-year-old man died Saturday after he reportedly stepped into traffic.

Police remained on the scene for hours at Lawrence and Orton Park in Scarborough and haven’t released any other information about the victim.

The accident happened around 12pm, and police are asking any witnesses to come forward and help them out. If you saw what happened call Traffic Services at (416) 808-1900.


Three-Car Crash

Snow could’ve been a factor in a three-car crash at the intersection of Carlaw and Dundas. It happened around 9:30am Saturday. One person was taken to hospital with neck and back injuries.


Highway 400 Rollover

There was a rollover on Highway 400 Saturday, likely caused by snow and icy road conditions. The vehicle flip happened near Finch in the southbound lanes. It happened about 7:30 and an ambulance was been dispatched. The extent of any injuries isn’t known.


Bolton Blaze

Two people were taken to hospital Saturday night following a house fire in Bolton.

Flames broke out at 18 Martha Street, just off Highway 50 in Bolton’s south end. The extent of their injuries isn’t known and there’s no word yet on a cause.
