Scatterbrained Suspect

This attempted robbery suspect isn’t exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Police in Detroit arrested a woman Thursday less than an hour after an alleged failed attempt to rob a bank.

So how did the cops manage to catch her so quickly? Well, she left her photo identification behind.

Detroit Police Commissioner William Dwyer said the suspect filled out an account application that morning and then decided to pull out a handgun and demand some cash. But she got cold feet and fled before getting the loot.

The would-be robber left an important clue behind – she’d partially filled out that account application, leaving detectives her address and a piece of photo I.D.
