Two Serious Accidents At GTA Construction Sites

Two people have been hurt in separate industrial accidents Friday.
The first occurred midmorning at a plant on Ormont Dr. near Steeles Ave. and Weston Rd. A woman suffered a major arm injury after an incident involving a piece of machinery. Fortunately her wounds aren’t considered life threatening.
Not long after, paramedics were called to a construction site near Rogers Centre, at York St. and Bremner Blvd. There they found a worker who’d suffered leg injuries in an accident. Not much information was available as to what occurred but again it appeared the worker was going to be ok.
The Ministry of Labour will be probing both incidents.
