Man Fighting For His Life After Pacific Mall Shooting

A man is fighting for his life after shots rang out inside the Pacific Mall Friday.

Details are slim but York Region Police have confirmed that the victim was shot in the head. He was immediately rushed to Sunnybrook where he remains in critical condition.

The gunfire broke out around 9pm Friday near Steeles Ave East and Kennedy Rd.

The mall was locked down as police canvassed the area for witnesses. Pedestrians and drivers alike had to pass through officers to leave the lot.

Officers even brought in a helicopter to help in their search for the suspect. He’s described as a man wearing a black winter jacket.
