Two northbound lanes of the Don Valley Parkway were closed for several hours on Monday morning because of falling debris.
It appears that a cylinder tumbled from a recycling truck, leaving a slick of ooze on the road and damaging at least one vehicle.
A northbound car couldn’t avoid the projectile and hit it before slamming into the curbside barrier.
It happened around 4:45am near the Prince Edward Viaduct. The busy route has since reopened.
The driver suffered minor injuries. There’s no word yet on charges.
