Police Locate Driver After Senior Struck And Killed

Police have located the driver of a white Mack truck who allegedly left the scene after hitting a senior in the city’s west end.
The fatal accident took place around 5pm Wednesday at Keele and Dundas. The 85-year-old victim suffered severe head injuries and, despite being rushed to St. Michael’s Hospital for emergency treatment, died soon after.
It’s possible the victim, who walked with a cane, may have fallen into the path of the oncoming truck.
Officers are interviewing the driver to determine whether or not to lay charges. They say it’s possible he wasn’t even aware he may have hit someone.
